21 ISSUE 3 2020 1. What is your name? Janice Miner. 2. Current job Vice president. 3. How long have you been in your current position? I have worked in a vice president/executive vice pres- ident capacity for about 20 years and in the industry over 30 years. 4. How did you get into the industry? I was inspired by a mentor to find my passion in the real estate industry and offered a leasing position with Tom Bozzuto right out of college. 5. What is your least favorite part of the job? Not having enough time. 6. What do you consider to be the best part of the job? Solving problems by working through different pro- cessing and communication styles of each individual involved (co-workers/residents/prospects/clients). I also thoroughly enjoy mentoring. 7. What three words would you use to describe yourself? Energetic, compassionate, driven. 8. What is your favorite city? Boston. 9. What career would you like to try for a day? Teacher. 10. Your favorite TV show? HGTV shows. 11. What is your favorite vacation spot? Bonnet Shore, Rhode Island. 12. How do you motivate others? Staying positive and always finding solutions, as well as validating concerns and perceptions while encour- aging them to find solutions (either task related, or communication related). 13. If there was one person — alive or passed — you could have a dinner with, who would it be? Marcus Limonis (on the TV show "The Profit"). 14. What do you do in your spare time to give back to the community? I used to be very involved with breast cancer aware- ness. I have not been able to dedicate that time recently. 15. Do you have any pets? Three grand puppies (Mario, Charlie and Benson.) 16. What superpowers would you most like to have? I would like to be able to fly. 17. Where do you see yourself in five years? Continuing to build business through connecting with past colleagues on new multifamily/retail part- nerships, advising on new construction deals, men- toring on all facets of residential management and, mostly, being an awesome grandmother. 18. What are you wearing when you feel your best? Black dress pants, blazer and colorful tops. 19. What is your favorite food? Eggs. 20. What was your childhood dream job? Architect and Teacher. 21.
