3 ISSUE 2 2020 MATTERS What a Difference a Month Makes … During this difficult time, I would like to say thank you to our members, supporters, CTAA leadership and our volunteers that serve this organization. W e were geared up and ready to go for our premiere event — the CTAA Education Conference and Trade Show, and then COVID–19 struck … our communities and industry were turned upside down in a matter of days. During this difficult time, I would like to say thank you to our members, supporters, CTAA leadership and our volunteers that serve this organization. CTAA has responded to this crisis by mobilizing a COVID-19 Communication Task Force, dedicated to getting our members the most relevant, updated information from trusted sources, including our National Apartment Association, the Office of the Governor and American Red Cross to name a few. There is a new webpage dedicated to these resources as well as a Business Partner Resource Guide featuring offerings from our members specific to this crisis. Please take a moment to review, and let me know if there is something else you would like to see. CTAA is adapting to this new “norm,” and I am happy to say that we have been utilizing the ZOOM platform to conduct our meetings for a while now, so the transition has been seamless, allowing our committees to continue to meet, plan, and prepare events and communications for our membership. For example, our April CAM in person training has been transformed to a hybrid online/live instructor program with CTAA being the first to offer this in the country! Thanks to our students for being the first participants, it will be a great session! While the format of our events and education at this time, will be virtual, please know that CTAA is planning for the day when we can all come back together safely and responsibly, to network, gather and share time. To our Property & Maintenance Man- agers, Owners and Business Partners: Thank you for your guidance. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your calls. Thank you for your laughs. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for being family. A big thank you to all who are keeping our properties safe and running! We appreciate EVERYTHING you are doing … and we mean EVERY- THING! Most of all … thank you for being great leaders! As always, my email (and virtual door) is always open, take care of yourselves, your communities and I look forward to seeing you! Thank you for your continued support.
