These categories range in recognition from best curb appeal, best innovative marketing practices, property of the year in various categories, property manager of the year as well as leasing team and leas- ing professionals. The vendor categories range from profession- al and company of the year to include business partner of the year as well. The nominating submissions are done online and include a formal nomination letter, multiple letters of recom- mendation, in addition to photos and other media. Judging is done independently through other fellow apartment associa- tions in different states to eliminate any bias or favoritism. This year the judging panel was comprised of members from the Piney Woods, Tulsa and Chico Apartment Associations as well as the Property Association of Michigan.
