17 ISSUE 3 2017 Bachelors in Marketing from CCSU and went on to work in Customer Service and Sales in the office furniture and electronics industries. I got my Masters in Management from Albertus Magnus and got a job in the aerospace industry but got laid off from there when things slowed down after 9/11. I had worked with the president of Savol’s wife and she recommended me for the Office Manager position and here I am 14 years later. 3. What do you enjoy most about working for Savol Pools? Every day is different. There is a lot of variety in my work. Also, I’ve been here for a long time so I’ve known some of our customers since day one so it’s nice to have that relationship with them - I think our customers appreciate the fact that most of our personnel have been here for years and years and know the history of their pools. 4. You’re stuck on an island, what two items would you bring and why? A radio – I need to hear music or listen to NPR – hopefully this Island has power! Matches or some way to start a fire - I was a girl scout, but that was a long time ago! 5. What would you be voted ‘most likely to do’ by your co-workers? Have a messy desk – I’ve tried and tried to keep the paper off of my desk but it’s just not in my nature. I used to watch the TV show 24 and they had no paper anywhere – I was so jealous! 6. What do you like to do in your spare time? Growing up I spent a lot of my summers around water – in Stonington Borough or Lake Candlewood. We will take hikes down there in the state parks or just walk around the Borough or Mystic. I need the water. I like to do crafts, make beaded jewelry, stained & fused glass and other things. I’m really good at buying the products to do the crafts, I just need to actually do them. I’m trying to give myself a deadline by signing up for a small craft show in the fall for motivation – so far I’ve just given away what I make. “Care at Work” Committed to providing outstanding service and quality to our customers with individual care and compassion. 70 Industrial Park Access Road Middlefield, CT 06455 800-835-0740 | 860-838-5322 | Fax: 860-349-2580 www.unitedcr.com Storm Damage Fire Damage Mold Remediation Water Damage Call Licia Ciotti 203-464-4171 Savol Pools, serving the swimming pool service needs of the apartment industry for over 40 years. 91 Prestige Park Circle East Hartford, CT 860-282-0878 www.SavolPools.com CT Reg. 584241 • SP-1 Lic. 288104 • SP-1 Lic. 288171 • Pump Room Repairs • Leak Detection • Safety Covers • Tile / Coping • Painting • Openings / Closings One Stop Source for All Your Swimming Pool Needs • Pool Chemicals Delivered to Your Door • Offering Certified Pool / Spa Operator R Courses • Leasing / Financing Options Available
