8 www.ctaahq.org isn’t going to make things any easier. Do what you can to make your situation better. • Are you overcommitted? Do you ever leave time for relaxing and spending time recharging? Take a look at what you’ve promised to do. Maybe you should put an end to some of those commitments. Keep only those things that have to be done or that you love doing. In addition, maybe you should take (gasp) an actual vacation. • Take inventory of your wardrobe on a regular basis. Consider looking at your wardrobe four times a year and figuring out what you need for the months ahead. In between that time, don’t shop for clothes. If things don’t fit, are worn out, or have just lost their appeal for you, get rid of them in whatever way makes the best sense. Some things can go straight to garbage, and others can be donated. • Turn your life into a constant game. Pretend you are the hero at the center of a story. Can you set, and then beat, a record? Can youmake a habit of celebrating small wins? Give your competitive side some freedom, and compete with yourself. Do better today than you did yesterday. It’s a great way to stop being bored and to keep yourself involved in whatever you’re doing. Not only that, but play is fun. • Ask for help when you need it, and help others when you can, too. Helping others can give you confidence that you are power- ful enough to be useful to someone else, and that is a confidence booster at those times when you aren’t feeling confident to begin with.
