21 ISSUE 6 2016 1. Who do you work for and what are your responsibilities? I work for Frontier Communications. I am currently the Frontier Community Connections Account Manager for Fairfield County. I have been in the industry for a quarter of a century and I have seen technology move from rotary dial service to fiber based Internet up to speeds of 1GB in my portfolio. My focus is MDUs and Condominiums and I bring communities together by offering them personalized service leading a dedicated Account Team to serve every resident and all of their communications needs. I also work with the Property Managers and Leasing Staff to keep them up to speed with or quickly evolving industry. I ensure that every resident has the TV packages and Internet speeds that work for their daily lives as well as for their families. 2. Tell us a little bit about your work history? I started with SNET right out of High School and worked part-time stuffing envelopes for the bills of our new wireless customers when it was branded LINX in 1989. Then I spent the next part of my career running a retail store in New London where our big seller was flip phones. I eventually moved up as a Manager in the Government Group and spent over 10 years helping municipalities set up service and understanding their bills. After needing a change, I came full circle and landed back in the residential arena helping communities set up service for their residents. 3. What do you enjoy most about working for Frontier Communications? Having a state of the art network that every resident needs and wants and being able to offer the fastest speeds over fiber is very exciting. I realize that the packages we provide are an integral part of all of my client’s day-to-day lives. I love my job and I enjoy working with each and every community in Fairfield County. It has become family to me and it is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to serve all of the communities and the residents too. 4. What would you be “most likely to do” by your co-workers? Send them emails in the middle of the night or before the crack of dawn – but not phone calls!! I am passionate about my job and I am known to wake up in the middle of the night and start sending emails if I can’t sleep. Or I will wake up in a panic if I forgot to do something during the day and I won’t be able to sleep unless I get it completed, no matter what time it is. 5. What do you like to do in your spare time? Shopping! Any spare time that I do have, I love to shop. It is my favorite pastime and it is one of the only things that gets my mind off of work. I can get lost for hours upon hours shopping on-line or at the mall. VENDOR SPOTLIGHT By Jeanette Zito
