We held a series of REWIND sessions, on topics such as online trends for renters, bedbugs, model apartments and regu- latory issues. Although we encountered some technical di culties, these programs were well received and we are looking forward to running a maintenance series in the fall. ank you to Nora and Marvin at Spectra Boutique Apartments for the use of the beautiful media room! NALP will be held early March, and CAM in the fall. Both will be held, centrally located, at Belfor in Wallingford. Two sessions of “No Toke No Smoke”, presented by Robert Chesson of Landlord Law Firm, garnered great praise and a recommendation to attend. One session was held in Bridgeport at American Integrity Resto- ration and the March session will be held at Belfor in Wallingford. Save the date for our second Annual Apartment Day on Tuesday, April 5th. Last year CTAA held one of the most successful events, raising awareness of the apartment industry. is year’s theme is welcome home, and we all know “ ere’s no place like home”! Robert Chesson, Esq. will present this updated class. e day includes breakfast, lunch, all course materials and certi cate of attendance. An important subject will be focus of a May session. An active shooter seminar will be held on May 11th in North Haven. Once again, our speakers will be Doug Pesce from the Department of Homeland Security and Lts. Jim Perez and Steven Reif of the CT State Police. Unfortunately, these scenarios are becoming more and more frequent, and CTAA is proud to o er education and help to prepare you and your apartment communities for such an event. e Education Committee has been focused on bringing education to all areas of the state.
